Peer Mentoring Program

Since 2016, the History Department has hosted a Peer Mentoring Program. Students who join the Peer Mentoring Program as mentees are matched with experienced classmates who can help them develop effective study habits, learn how to navigate the university, and get the inside scoop on the History Department.

Mentors are high-achieving, third- and fourth-year students who are ready to take a leadership role in the department by assisting their fellow students and aiding department events. Mentors are compensated for their time and are recognized in the department newsletter for their contributions, and will receive a certificate at the end of the academic year.

Recruitment for mentors and mentees takes place each August, with occasional supplementary rounds in January as well. Please keep a look out for our posters and email!
