Accepting Ph.D. students

I do not mind if your first degree is not in art history or archaeology—my first degree is Translation! Students with degrees in art history or archaeology are certainly welcome. However, if your first degree is not related to my areas of specialization, I would love to see what preparation you have done prior to your Ph.D. application. Topics that fall completely outside of my research focus will still be considered, but they are not prefererred because I may not be able to offer you adequate supervision. Transdisciplinary apporaches are welcome, but you have to demonstrate a particular concern for the humanities.
